The Edge Nail Polish Valentines Edition - Swatches & Review

PR Sample

As promised yesterday (post here) I have the review of The Edge Nails nail polishes. I was sent these 3 gorgeous colours and by a fortunate chance they're all so pretty and perfect for Valentines. As you probably know my fave nail polish colour is pink, so I was so pleased to find that I had 2 waiting for me in the box of goodies I was sent.

The Edge Nails Beijing, Sri Lanka and Seychelles nail polishes

Also it should be noted that their polishes are named after cities and places from around the world. It's such a unique idea and I love seeing which name they have put with each colour. Who wouldn't want to wear Transylvania (a deep plumpy brown) or Palm Beach (yellow) on their nails?!

First up is a gorgeous red crelly called Beijing. I call this a crelly because it's not quite a jelly, but not quite a creme. On the first coat it looked like it had an orange tone to it but the second coat deepened the colour and I was left with a smooth, shiny cherry red finish.

Sri Lanka is a deep raspberry pink, a colour I'm a massive fan of. This has such a great formula and is so pigmented and smooth. It was like applying melted chocolate. I could have got away with only 1 coat, however I did add a second.

Seychelles is quite a mature colour and although I don't tend to use pearl finishes very often, I love this polish. I used 3 thin coats to ensure I had smoothed out the polish as much as possible and had the lines all pointing down the nail.

So what do you think of these polishes? If I told you, you could buy them for £2.76 would it make you think about getting a couple? The 3 I have tested here are stunning and have such a professional quality to them, I would easily liken them to OPI.

The Edge Nails have a selection of 45 different colours which you can browse here. Remember for your first order you can get 20% off using the code WELCOMEOFFER & there's free delivery if you spend over £25 so each polish after tax would be £2.21.

The Edge Nails nail polish range

I can highly recommend the 3 I've tried. I would love to try some more to see if the quality is as good across the whole range but seeing as I've now tried 5 polishes in total and their topcoat, I am pretty confident they are.

Will you be buying any? I'm especially interested in a gorgeous glitter called Northern Lights and a stunning cornflower blue called Surfers Paradise, so I will most likely be taking advantage of their discount code an getting a few bargains myself.

  2. Really like the look of Sri Lanka, I love that it's a deeper tone of pink yet it still looks really vibrant!
And Palm Beach in the bottom pic looks interesting too!

    1. Sri Lanka is gorgeous, I even kept it on overnight which says a lot. Although a lot of their colours are classics, some like Palm Beach are really interesting xx

    2. Ok so initially I thought I'd never heard of this brand, and assumed it was just at salons. But I was digging around in my old 'vintage' nail polishes (pre-addiction!) and I found a gold polish by 'The Edge'. I think it was something I got for a birthday when I was about 10! Of course it could just be a coincidence but I thought it was funny. So yeah. Random little story for you! x

    3. Amy that's amazing. I wish I still had some of the polishes I bought when I was younger. Have you tried it to see if it's still any good? x
