Danglefoot Nail Polish Vintage Collection - Review & Swatches

Friday, 13 March 2015

Danglefoot Nail Polish is another great UK indie polish maker who creates beautiful polishes and ingenious collections. I first became aware of Hayley and her lovely polishes when I saw her Roald Dahl collection launch back in January and have kept a close eye on her since then. You can imagine my delight when she asked me to swatch her new collection then.

So the new collection I am talking about has been inspired by some vintage bedding, star wars for anyone wondering. Who knew laundry could give you polish idea? The Vintage Collection is a beautiful 3 piece made up of shimmery muted colours that look like they're right out of 1930.

First up I have Buttons & Bows, a silky cornflower blue polish with blue shimmer. I used 2 coats plus topcoat for the swatch, although the polish is shiny enough without topcoat, it's just my personal preference.

Grandma's Dress is a really unique colour that has an almost metallic finish thanks to the micro red glitters and hits the vintage theme right on the head. I would describe this as rosewood with red undertones. It took 2 coats for full coverage and I used topcoat to make the unusual finish really pop.

Lastly is Golden Oldie which is a sandy colour with golden shimmer. I used 3 coats plus topcoat for this polish as I also find nudes need an extra coat to really stand out.

So what do you think of these 3? I think they make a gorgeous collection and I love that the classic nail colours (red & nude) have been given a vintage twist. Hayley sells her nail polishes through Etsy and offers this collection in 2 sizes. Shop them here & with prices starting at £10 for the 3 minis, it's a purse friendly treat you can afford to get yourself even though we're weeks from pay day!

If you do buy them, you can expect to get your polishes wrapped in such an amazing way that you might not want to open them. I know I left mine on my desk for ages before opening it as it felt like a real present,
