MeeBox UK Swatches & Review

Today I have a review of the first ever MeeBox UK and I am so excited about it, I love monthly subscription boxes and those that are dedicated to nail polish are my absolute fave.

For each month from August 2015 onwards MeeBox UK will release a themed box that will contain 4/5 polishes, tools and/or treatments plus swatch sticks. They kick started with a 'California Dreamin' theme and it couldn't be more perfect for the summer (if only the UK weather would cooperate).

The box contains 3 polishes, a sample sized CND solar oil and some palm tree nail stencils (as well as the 3 swatch sticks). I love the combination of polish colours and the range of brands.

First up I have Color Club's Disco Dress. This blurple polish is so pigmented and thick that it only took 1 coat for full coverage. I added 1 coat of Glossy Glam topcoat for the photo. It's worth noting that this polish is more purple in real life, my camera just wouldn't capture it.

Next is Models Own Turquoise Gloss, I love this HyperGel polish. I used 2 coats of polish and 1 coat of topcoat for this swatch.

China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy is a gorgeous neon peach. The formula on this is tricky to work with and I would suggest you wear it over white as it took 4 coats for full coverage. However I still love it and once on it's beautiful.

The CND solar oil is really nice and although it has an Almond scent (not one I love), it moisturises my nails and cuticles beautifully.

I haven't yet tried the palm tree nail stencils by 'whatsupnails' but I have loads of ideas on how I could use them.

Overall this debut box is fab and I can not wait to see what comes up in the future. If you are interested in getting future MeeBox UK subscriptions they cost £20 (incl p&p) which is a real bargain.

Find MeeBox UK on their Website / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram for more information and pictures of their products.

What do you think about this box? Do you love the polishes and would you ever get one?

  1. Very cute colours I would be put off by the price for the polish received though :( if it was £15 I wild totally buy it though

    1. I thought the same, but then I realised that £20 is inclusive of couriour delivery. If they charged £15 they'd have to charge for P&P and then it would work out the same. Glad you like the colours though x

  2. Going to get my review up later, not thrilled with the price (it is still good though) as nailboxuk is cheaper and just as good but this is a new one and has some gorgeous stuff in it plus I've yet to work out the value of everything bought seperately. Plus the packaging was just gorgeous! I can easily spend £20 a month on polish so might as well doing it getting some surprises and brands I've never had before :)

    1. That's what I think, it's good when you have a surprise polish package turn up. I think £20 is reasonable, people have got too used to getting products that are worth twice as much as you pay for these subscription boxes and I think that's a crazy mentality. These are not high end products that are over priced with massive profit margins so I don't think we'll ever see one that has products worth much over £20.
