Barry M Speedy Quick Dry - Spring 2016 Edition

PR Sample

Oh Sunday, how are you here already?! If you're like me you may feel a little sick deep down inside that Monday is looming again. However these gorgeous nail paints should hopefully help ... I mean when does pretty nail polish not help!

Way back in January of 2015, Barry M launched their Speedy Quick Dry Range (post here). This range promised a shiny finish with a super fast drying time and it didn't disappoint. Since then they've added to the line by releasing a summer (post here) and autumn/winter collection, bringing the total number of Speedy nail paints to chose from to 19. That is until now. Spring 2016 sees the continuation of the Speedy's line with an additional 4 beautifully muted pastels.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Spring 2016 Nail Paints; Freestyle, Winning Streak, Personal Best & In A Flash

I love when Barry M adds to their popular ranges. Any duochrome fans out there will know the heart ache felt when 2015 rolled around and there was no sight of any new Aquarium nail paints (posts here and here), I honestly still think this was the best collection released by Barry M ... ever! Anyway I digress, today I am pleased to show you the new Speedys and they are wonderful.

Freestyle is a vintage blush shade of rose, that would suit all skin tones and ages. As is suggested for these speedy polishes, thin coats work best and I ended up needing only 2 to get full coverage. I finished off with a coat of Barry M's Plumpy topcoat.

Winning Streak is a vanilla-ry beige. It's a gorgeous multi purpose nude that I can see myself using as a base for nail art as well as on it's own for an office friendly mani. I needed 3 thin coats for full coverage and topped with Plumpy to finish the look.

Personal Best is a grape purple with a strong lavender undertone. I am a little bit obsessed with this colour. It's very pretty and so flattering on the nail. I used 3 thin coats and 1 coat of Plumpy.

Finally I have In A Flash which to me appears to be a peachy nude. However in some lights it can come across as a pinky nude. I actually had this put on my nails at the launch (post here) thinking it was pink. It was only when I got outside afterwards that it appeared peachy. Either way it's glorious and so apt for spring. I needed 4 thin coats (I mean super thin) for full coverage as I found it a tad streaky and then topped it with 1 coat of Plumpy.

It's difficult for me to pick a favourite from this lineup (I love them all) but Personal Best just takes top spot on the podium for me.

You can buy these now in Superdrug and from the 17th February in Boots for £3.99 each.
You can also buy the Plumpy topcoat for £2.99 in Superdrug, Boots and on the Barry M website.
