PR Sample
Happy Saturday all, don't you just love waking up on a bank holiday weekend? Although I'm now way past 'Super Sundays', I do love long lunch dates, shopping and late night reading sessions. This weekend I have some sleep and nail blogging to catch up on.

Speaking of which, I've finally got some gorgeous pictures of Barry M's new Coconut Infusion Nail Paint collection for you. Yes they're a little overdue but please forgive me.

Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paint Collection - Swatch Collage

These were first leaked to us on April Fools Day, and although I knew it wasn't a joke (after all Barry M had also released their April Fools earlier in the day) some still thought it was too good to be true. Soon after they released their amazing nail paint phone charger in press images and I knew I needed it (because I'm Barry M's #1 stalker fan) and I was lucky enough to be sent it, thank you so much Barry M, I'm thrilled.

As it states on the bottle, these have been infused with coconut oil and water, ingredients that aim to gently hydrate and nourish the nails. They also contain Vitamins B & C as well antioxidants which have been included to strengthen the nails. For those of us that are not great at remembering to oil our nails and take our supplements, this polish is a godsend.

This 9 piece is made up of 4 neutral and 5 bright cremes. At first I was a little disappointed that the neutrals seemed 'blah', but after swatching them I did a complete u-turn. Barry M have been smart by releasing the current IT shade in a range that will suit all skin tones. Although it's unusual to see so many neutrals released at once, I think the aim is that you pick the shade best suited to you and leave the rest.

The press release says that you should skip the base coat stage so as to allow the coconut goodness to soak into the nails easier, and to only add a topcoat should you wish (a vital step in any long lasting manicure IMO). The formula of these is perfect and every swatch shows only 2 coats (*insert face screaming emoji here).

First up I have Laguna, which is gorgeous cornflower blue. Love it so hard, blues are killing it this year.

Sunkissed is a warm caramel neutral and would look perfect with a tan.

Skinny Dip is the palest of the neutrals and appears almost cream like.

Aloha is a gorgeous pink, I can't quite put a name to it. Magenta, Berry, Punch? Who actually cares - its stunning!

Tiki Hut is tawny/camel brown, and the darkest of the neutrals. This is my least favourite from the collection but I know that it'll look lovely on darker skin tones.

Flamingo is a peachy coral and reminds me of mango sorbet.

Starfish is my fave of the neutrals and this oatmeal colour is the perfect everyday shade for me.

Bikini is a seafoam green and the one that surprised me the most. I love it.

Finally I have Surfboard, this gorgeous pale orchid is a stunning colour and so unusual. Is it pink, is it purple? ... it's a beautiful mystery.

Overall I have nothing but love for these nail paints. Coconut oil benefits aside, the formula of these is amazing and the colour range is perfect for a bridging collection between the spring and summer. My faves have to be Starfish and Surfboard but I also think Laguna and Bikini are stunning.

You can buy these for £4.99 each from Barry M online, Superdrug and Boots stores nationwide.

What are your faves? What do you think about adding coconut oil to polishes?

If you're interested in the other Spring 2016 nail paint releases from Barry, this post here has you covered.

  6. Wow these are awesome! I don't think they're out in Australia yet but if they do arrive here, I'm really interested to buy that neutral starfish, - we have similar skin tone and I love how that one looks on you (you are right, the daisy one is not as good). I also would buy aloha, surfboard, flamingo, and bikini. I have a tiny blog and would love for you to check out out cheekynailmonkey.net. I saw your ig post about supporting each other in the blogging world. I only just started really. ^_^ I am @cheekynailmonkey on ig btw.
