Primark PS Matte Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Tuesday, 5 April 2016

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you're all having a nice start to the week. Mine has been lovely, lots of fun emails and exciting blog plans. The only downside is it's been so cold despite the gorgeous sunshine, that I've been sat at my desk shivering away, hugging my hot water bottle and drinking tea by the gallon.

Today I have some new-ish colours from Primark's PS beauty range to show you, it's been just over 2 years since I reviewed some of Primark's colours so if you want, you can check that old post out here. These 2 newer polishes are from their matte collection and come in gorgeous frosted bottles. I grabbed these to try, mainly because they were cheap (80p) but also because I still adore matte finishes.

Primark PS Blush & Light Green Matte Nail Polish

First up is Blush, a soft rose pink. I had to use 3 coats to smooth out all the streaks the bristles leave during painting (thanks cheap brush). On the plus side it dried quickly and is very pigmented.

Light Green is a pastel minty green, The formula of this was worse than Blush and only just looked right with 4 coats, but it did dry quickly (the least it could do after requiring 4 coats).

So overall a hit and a miss. The shades and price are both ticks in the hit column but the formula is a miss, which is such a shame as I love these colours so much.

However I'm a big believer in trying things for yourself, so if you are interested you can pick these and other colours up from 80p each at Primark stores nationwide.

Let me know in the comments what you think about these colours, have you tried any from Primark that are must buys?

  1. I love matte nails and these are both such pretty shades! It's been ages since I've looked at Primark's nail polish range!

    1. It's always worth a quick look. I found some amazing multichrome tools too.
