Barry M Lolly Gloss Gradient Nail Art

Monday, 30 May 2016

Ever since I swatched Barry M's gorgeous Lolly Gloss collection I've been dying to try out some nail art with them, and I knew the exact design I wanted to try.
Can you remember when OPI released their Colour Paints collection and everyone was using them over a holo base? Yeah, that look.

I started off with a couple of coats of Barry M's Silver Lights (a gorgeous Christmas 2013 limited edition) as the base.

So this post is going up a tad later than I planned. What with one thing and another, May became crazier & crazier. I hate that my blog is the first thing to go from my life when it gets busy. If anyone has any advice on managing work/life balance, I'd love to hear your strategies.

Earlier this month Barry M released a ton of new Summer 2016 products (see my overview blog post here) and slowly I have been reviewing them.

Today I have a review of the new Molten Metals nail polish collection. This is a new permanent line from Barry M and I am very excited by that news. These polishes are beautiful and have the most amazingly shiny, mirror foil finish. On top of this the colours are so multifaceted that they seem to change depending on the light and type of topcoat worn.

Barry M Summer 2016 Lolly Gloss Collection

Tuesday, 10 May 2016

I don't know about you but this week is kicking my ass, I'm so sleepy that I'm thinking of missing dinner and heading to bed once I make this post live.

Today I have some swatches and a review of Barry M's Lolly Gloss collection for you. These are part of Barry M's Summer 2016 new product launch and I am still as excited about them as I was the first time I saw them.

This 4 part jelly collection is limited edition, which is such a shame as they're actually such fun and I'd have liked to add each colour from the rainbow to my collection.Barry M Lolly Gloss Collection

Barry M's Summer 2016 Superdrug & Boots Limited Edition Nail Paints

Sunday mornings are lovely and quiet in my house. The windows get opened wide, tea is made by the gallon and I either eat something really healthy (fruit salad) or something not so healthy (croissants). I also like to get my blog posts for the week typed up. Now you may be forgiven for thinking that my blog has turned into some kind of Barry M fan site, after all the last few posts featured Barry M products and so do my next 3/4. This is all just a happy coincidence and in my opinion you can never have too much Barry M.

On Friday I posted an overview of all the new Barry M Summer 2016 products and asked what you'd like to see swatches of first, the limited editions from Superdrug & Boots won. So today that's what I've got for you.

First up are the two Superdrug limited edition shades and these have a gorgeous golden crushed metal style lid.

New Barry M Summer Launches - 2016 Edition

Friday, 6 May 2016

It's Fri-yay! Wahoo. Has anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? I'm off for brunch and shopping with a friend of mine tomorrow and I can't wait for some yummy food and a trip to Tiger (anyone else obsessed with that shop?).

Yesterday a package from Barry M arrived while I was actually attempting to have a little catnap. I was so excited to get the door that I jumped out of bed and answered it without looking in the mirror first. Warning: don't do this. I had mascara all over my face from rubbing my eyes (thanks hayfever) and my hair looked like it had taken the brunt of a gale force wind. Once I closed the door, package in hand, I ran back to bed Gollum like with my 'precious'.

The 10 mins that followed were very happy ones, I read the lookbook and opened all the goodies.

Nail Blog Love - The New Nail Blogging Community

Thursday, 5 May 2016

Happy Thursday everyone, hows your week been? This post was suppose to go live yesterday but didn't and I didn't even check (oops). The reason why was that myself and my other half went to the cinema to see Captain America: Civil War (edit it was amazing). I'm actually a massive marvel movie fan, but did think Captain America: The First Avenger was the most boring movie I've seen from the marvel franchise (IMO), but I loved the second one and have loved every other marvel movie released (my fave being Guardians of the Galaxy). Any other fans out there?

Anyways, back to more nail related business. You may or may not be aware that last weekend I started a new Instagram (@nail_blog_love) and linked twitter account (@nailbloglove) aimed at bringing people in the nail blogging community closer together.

Barry M Plam Leaf Nail Art

Monday, 2 May 2016

Bank Holiday Monday how I love you. As I spent last night soaking away in a glorious lush bath, drinking tea and reading Harry Potter 4 (yes I am a big fan and am currently in the midst of my annual re-read), I woke up today hangover free and full of the joys of spring.

Seeing as my blog has been quite swatch heavy recently, I thought that some nail art was the perfect antidote. Barry M's Coconut Infusion collection has some gorgeous colours (see the review post here) and I knew that Aloha and Flamingo would make the perfect gradient base.
