Barry M Summer 2016 Lolly Gloss Collection

Tuesday, 10 May 2016

I don't know about you but this week is kicking my ass, I'm so sleepy that I'm thinking of missing dinner and heading to bed once I make this post live.

Today I have some swatches and a review of Barry M's Lolly Gloss collection for you. These are part of Barry M's Summer 2016 new product launch and I am still as excited about them as I was the first time I saw them.

Barry M Lolly Gloss Collection
This 4 part jelly collection is limited edition, which is such a shame as they're actually such fun and I'd have liked to add each colour from the rainbow to my collection.Barry M Lolly Gloss Collection
The combination of the slightly transparent super, shiny finish and sweet strawberry/raspberry scent reminds me of boiled sweets.

First up I have Pink Candy, this bubblegum bright pink is so yum. I used 3 coats for this opacity and love the depth to this colour.

Purple pop is a deep violet. I have to admit to struggling with the formula of this one, it was a bit streaky and dried patchy. I ended up re-swatching this and using 3 thick coats I managed to get this finish.

Orange Fizz is a bright tangerine and my fave from the 4. Look how scrumptious that colour is.

Finally I have Cherry Drop which is a deep cherry red (surprise surprise). The formula was lovely but I used 2 coats for this swatch and I think I should have used another coat to deepen the colour a tad more.

I am in love and these really are the perfect polishes when I think of summer. They're bright, they're fun and they smell delicious. These may well be my fave from the Barry M releases this year (see the roundup of the Spring 2016 nail paint releases here) and I seriously hope they make some more.

You can buy these now in Superdrug and from tomorrow (11th May) at Boots priced at £3.99 each.

What are your thoughts on this collection? Do you think the single image swatch posts or do you prefer the double image ones (see here on Barry M's Coconut Infusion review).

Have a lovely hump day tomorrow, the weekend us just around the weekend.

  1. Very pretty swatches and they all look lovely. I have Pink Candy and Purple Pop but I haven't tried them yet. Overall this looks like a fantastic little range of polishes.

    1. Thanks Silvie, I really hope you get these in Oz too as they're amazing. It's a massive shame they're limited edition as I would like every colour of the rainbow in this lolly gloss finish.

    1. It's so striking against the other colours. However the formula is a little tricky (for me) so just beware xx
