New Barry M Summer Launches - 2016 Edition

Friday, 6 May 2016

It's Fri-yay! Wahoo. Has anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? I'm off for brunch and shopping with a friend of mine tomorrow and I can't wait for some yummy food and a trip to Tiger (anyone else obsessed with that shop?).

Yesterday a package from Barry M arrived while I was actually attempting to have a little catnap. I was so excited to get the door that I jumped out of bed and answered it without looking in the mirror first. Warning: don't do this. I had mascara all over my face from rubbing my eyes (thanks hayfever) and my hair looked like it had taken the brunt of a gale force wind. Once I closed the door, package in hand, I ran back to bed Gollum like with my 'precious'.

The 10 mins that followed were very happy ones, I read the lookbook and opened all the goodies.
Of course I was very excited to have the new nail paints but I couldn't help but love the other beauty launches too. I can't believe I have a roundup of these Summer launches to show you today, it seems like only last month I was showing you Barry M's Spring 2016 launches, review here. Grab a notebook & pen and be prepared to make a big 'want list' - enjoy.

First in the lookbook was the Coconut Infusion nail paint collection. I know we're seen loads of these as they were sent out a few weeks ago. But in case you've been living under a rock I have a review of the Coconut Infusion nail paints here.
These are out now to buy in both Superdrug & Boots priced at £4.99 each.

Next are the Illuminating Strobe Cream sticks. Now I'm not going to pretend I know what strobing is but these are so pretty and I'll def be using these in place of my highlighting powder.
There are 2 shades available - Iced Bronze and Frosty Pink.
They're out already in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £4.49 each.

Molten Metals are next up. These gorgeous metallic nail paints will be swatched and reviewed soon and from speaking to Jade at Barry M these will form part of the permanent line. This is always good news so expect some more Molten Metals come the Autumn.
From L-R the colours are Silver Lining, Gold Digger, Copper Mine and Bronze Bae.
They're out already in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £3.99 each.

Barry M's new lip liners in 3 nude shades are bound to be a big hit. I would have nipped out and grabbed all 3 of these if I had not been sent them because the colours are perfect and def suit my lip style. I love a statement lip for a night out, but tend to stick to nudes at all other times.
From top-bottom the colours are Toast, Rose and Blush.
These are already on sale in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £2.99 each.

Coco Loco and Berry Good are Barry M's edition to the lip oil trend. These are gorgeous and offer nourishment and gloss without a sticky finish. The flavours are obviously and the colour payoff so minimal that these would be best worn either under a pigmented gloss or on their own for a natural look.
They're out  in Superdrug and will be on sale in Boots from the 11th May priced at £4.99 each.

It's A Brow Thing is a product I'm personally not too sure of. I prefer brow pencils to powder and the applicator looks a little odd, however the colour is perfect (Medium Brown) and I'm sure once I've experimented a bit I'll find a way to use it.
It's out already in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £4.99.

Lolly Gloss, the most exciting launch from Barry M this summer (bar the Coconut Infusion collection) is a 4 part collection of scented jelly nail paints. I will have a review of these up soon but in the mean time go and grab them as they're limited edition and not likely to hang about.
From L-R colours are Cherry Drop, Orange Fizz, Pink Candy and Purple Pop.
These have launched in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £3.99 each.

The new Barry M makeup bags are an exclusive launch to Superdrug and come in 4 colourful styles. They're made from a wipe clean/washable fabric and open up into the perfect handbag sized pouch. I got the purple and white striped bag that says 'I'm Too Full - said no makeup bag ever' which I love.
They've already launched in Superdrug and are priced at £6.99 each.

Hide & Chic is this seasons new palette and it's a winner. This compact bronze, blush and highlight set features a matte bronze powder, a gorgeous bright pink with silver shimmer blush and a deep coral with golden shimmer blush and 2 highlighters (one matte and one shimmer). The packaging is so pretty and contains a mirror for on the go application (but no brush so bring your own).
This is out in Superdrug and will be released in Boots on the 11th May priced at £6.49.

Let's Be Clear is a Lip Fixer - basically a primer for your lips. It's very soft and applies like a dream. It's aim is to prevent any lip product bleeding while smoothing out any lines on your lips.
This has launched in Superdrug stores and will be available from the 11th May in Boots priced at £3.99.

Barry M are releasing 2 Superdrug limited edition nail paints and on closer inspection they are stunning. They both have a shimmer to them, Festival Fever is pink with gold shimmer and Carnival Couture is nude with a silver shimmer. I'll have my swatches up of these soon.
These are out in Superdrug now priced at £3.99 each.

Finally Barry M are also releasing 2 Boots limited edition nail paints and these are also amazing. Golden Sands is a pale pink/nude with what look like tiny gold flakies/glass fleck and Beachy Keen is a blush/beige creme.
These will be out in Boots from the 11th May priced at £3.99 each.

There we have it, from initial impressions I am really loving the Lolly Gloss nail paints, Strobing Creams, the Lip Liners and the Lip Oils. You?

So what are your thoughts on these products? Which nail paints do you think I should swatch and review first?
Have a lovely weekend and pop back on Sunday for a blog post featuring some of the new nail paints.

  3. I have to say I can't wait to swatch the Boots and Superdrug exclusives because the nude shades with the added shimmer look so luxe.I also think the strobe sticks will be great because I use the Barry M cream blushes every day so these will be the perfect highlighting companion 😄

    1. I know exactly what you mean, I've already done the Boots ones and they're amazing. I adore both colours. I used the strobe stick today and it was so pretty on. I paired it with the pink blush from the palette & they looked so sparkly together ✨😱

  4. There is so many goodies from Barry M. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that Australia will get some of the polishes. :)

FYI Metallic polish can be great to stamp with - although they do tend to dry a little quicker so you need to work a bit faster. Anyway, random tip for you. Hope you have a good weekend :)

    1. I hope you get them too, although I fear the Superdrug & Boots limited edition colours won't find their way to you.

Ooh thanks for that tip, any help would be brilliant.
My weekend has been brilliant, you're?

    2. I had a fantastic weekend. Nice and relaxing and full of swatching lol.

Really my only real "tip" for stamping is practice, practice, practice. I find that works well for one person doesn't necessarily work for someone else. Oh and invest in a good stamper. I started with a really cheap one and it was horrid. I nearly gave up stamping but thought I would try a new stamper and never looked back :)

    3. Sounds just like mine! I love quiet, nail polish filled days.
You're right about the practice, I need to put some serious hours in as I've been guilty of just giving up when it gets too hard.
I have a few stampers but I want to grab a clear one. I think that will help.

  6. Awesome package of goodies! Lol at your dishevelledness when answering the door - I probably would have done the same! I am really wanting the lolly gloss polishes!!! Not sure how I feel about the molten range - for some reason, metallics don't do too well on my skin tone. How do you find them on yourself? I also will be reading your review on the superdrug range right after this...

    1. Haha, I honestly have no shame when there's a parcel at the door for me! The lolly gloss are so pretty. I'll have my review on the blog tomorrow so keep an eye out for it.
I have to have all Barry M polishes but wear metallics the least, they are however very pretty so I can use them in nail art.
