Happy Friday and yay for the weekend, how has your week been? I found myself unable to sleep last night and rather than toss and turn for hours, I decided to get up and get some swatching done. My to swatch pile is actually rather large at the minute but I've had these Primark colours knocking around for weeks now so I thought I'd start there.
Every time I pop into Primark I visit the beauty counter and grab some of their products to try. The P.S range is so affordable and you can actually find some amazing gems.
I tend to pick up any new polish colours and today and I have some that totally capture the summer vibes we're all feeling at the minute (check out my P.S Spring Primark nail polish review here and my P.S Gel polish review here).
Carnival is a bright orchid jelly. This polish has an amazing formula and builds up nicely in 3 shiny coats. I didn't need to add any topcoat to this swatch, it is so stunning on it's own.
Emerald is a deep forest green crelly. It actually looks nothing like these pictures. I'm sorry, I had so much trouble getting this shade colour accurate that I gave up. It looks more like it does in the bottle shot at the top of this post. I used 3 thin coats, no topcoat for the photos below.
Jamboree is a neon pink jelly with a strong coral tone. I needed 3 coats for full opacity and needed no topcoat as again, it's so shiny.
Lagoon is a sky blue creme with a teal tone that I couldn't capture (blogger fail again). I needed 2 coats and added a topcoat as it was a little streaky.
Sirocco is a neon tangerine jelly. Again this polish is great after 3 coats and needs no topcoat.
This little summer capsule collection is gorgeous and I think my faves are Carnival and Jamboree. The colours are both so pretty. If you're interested you can buy these priced at 80p each from Primark stores nationwide.
Do you have a fave? What are your thoughts on Primark polishes? I've been unsure whether I should post any more Primark posts so let me know.
