Hooray for Fridays and hooray for rain. I can't tell you how much of a good mood this rainy day has put me in (and I'm not even being sarcastic). I'm wearing knitwear, tights and boots again and am just itching for Autumn to be here. I even spotted some tubs of Roses, Quality Street and Heroes while in Tesco earlier and that just topped off my happiness. Anyone else looking forward to the change in season?

The other day I received the newest Spray Can from Nails Inc and it's a stunning metallic shade called Good As Gold

This Limited Edition colour joins the world's first 'spray on varnish' line up and was created in collaboration with Lottie Tomlinson (model, makeup/hair artist, oh and sister to 1D's Louis).

I was genuinely so excited to use this product, the idea of spraying polish onto my nails like some kind of rogue street artist was a little thrilling. I was also intrigued to see exactly how easy the application and clean up would be.

Application - super easy. Just follow the 4 steps below and you're done. The only important thing to note is it's essential to use a basecoat. Nails Inc 2in1 base/top coat is advised, however I'm sure any basecoat would work fine.

Clean up - a little trickier. I found that soapy warm water got the majority of the paint off my skin, however it was stuck around my cuticles and just wouldn't budge. I think a layer of liquid latex pre-spraying would solve that, however my fail safe of acetone on a brush worked fine.

I have to say I had so much fun using this spray can, even when I nearly froze my fingers solid. The colour is gorgeous and it dried so quickly. It actually looks like you have tiny specks of gold on your fingernails and a topcoat really brings the shine out.

If you're interested in trying it out yourself, you can pick up the Good As Gold can priced at £10 here and Nails Inc 2in1 base/top coat priced at £8 here.

So what do you think? Would you ever want to try spraying polish onto your nails? Have you tried any of the previous spray cans? I admit I've already put a couple into my polish wishlist.

Have you got anything excited planned tonight? Me and my fancy gold nails are going to be watching a girly movie and heading to bed super early (I'm so exhausted).

  1. Dammit, how did you make it look so good? I have the pink one and haven't even posted about it, because the results were truly hideous.

    1. Oh no, I actually thought my first attempt was a little shaky but I didn't do anything fancy. Maybe the metallic spray hides defects better. Maybe you should try again. Vicky xx

  2. Wow! So impressed with how lovely that gold looks! Never considered spray on polish and with that price I'm not sure I would unless the shade was gorgeous but such a great review Vicky =)

Enjoy your night, I plan on eating some fudge and will be in bed by 10pm probably haha =D xx

    1. Oh wow I love fudge; that's a great shout & it's already on my list for today. I was fast asleep by 10pm last night (which is why I woke at 6am).
The price is a little high but it's such a fun product & I think that it's worth it for a piece of polish history.

  3. I'm loving this review Vicky! And dare I say that the colour reminds me of Christmas?:D I totally forgot to put this can spray polish on my list. I tried to get it when it first came out but it was sold out everywhere. Need a trip to boots, I think :) xx

    1. Oh you can say it Marta! =) In fact most things are reminding me of Christmas these days. I'm waiting for September to come so I can start getting festive. I even have a countdown to when my Christmas tree goes up.
Glad you liked the review & I know you'll love the product. It's so fun & pretty xx

    1. They def are interesting, however I know what you mean about painting. I love the process and as I'm a complete weirdo about getting my hands wet, the less I have to do that, the better. It's always nice to have options and a play with the new 'trend' though xx

  5. This looks gorgeous! It's the only time ive been tempted to try the spray paints.
How much mess did it make? (I've always wondered that lol!) xx

    1. It made a little mess but that cleared up so easily with a cotton wool pad and remover. Next time though I'll do it over some kitchen roll and then just chuck it in the bin.
It's such a pretty colour and I love how fun it is xx
