Primark PS Beauty New Autumn Nail Polish

Monday, 22 August 2016

Ok so I don't want to rub it in, but when you're not at work, Mondays are amazing. I started my day off with a long lie in, a very leisurely shower and a cosy afternoon watching the last half of Season 3 of Under The Dome while swatching new and exciting nail polishes, 4 of which I'm going to show you today.

Primark nail polishes are my guilty pleasure, their sleek packaging, cheap price point and inviting colours all tempt me to load my basket with them every time I pop into a store. On my recent visit they had restocked with a load of new shades for Autumn and today I have 4 neutralish colours for you.

Now during the spring (review here) and throughout the summer (review here) Primark started naming their polishes by putting a colour matching name sticker on the top of their lids, which I loved. However they've ditched that for a tiny written name on the large side label (something which vexed me greatly as I peel these labels off, so I now have to write the name on the bottom of the bottle in permanent marker).

First up I have this scrumptious colour called Nude. The formula is dreamy and all I needed was 2 thin coats and topcoat for this swatch ... a nude in 2 coats is perfect and this colour is amazing. I am def going to get a back up bottle (this may become my fave nude).

Skin is a blush/rose neutral and again the formula is incredible. I seriously only added the second coat to smooth out a bump I made with some clumsy brush strokes.

Heather is a pale lilac which in real life is slightly warmer and not as pink. However it wouldn't be a Primark review post without at least one polish my camera can't capture properly. Again the formula is devine and 2 coats plus topcoat was perfect for these swatches.

Last up today (you can be sure there'll be more Primark swatch posts from me very soon) is Light Grape. This muted plum has a blue shimmer in the bottle which doesn't show up on the nail :(, this is a perfect Autumn shade and again I only needed 2 coats, although this could be fine in 1 as it's that pigmented.

So there we go, what do you think of this little selection of Primark's Autumn colours? I think my fave colour has to be Nude, but these are all so pretty. It's worth mentioning that while swatching I had to keep reminding myself that these were from Primark, the quality is truly outstanding that it rivals some 10 times the value.

If you're interested you can pick these up from Primark stores nationwide for 90p each.

  1. Beautiful swatches as always, Vicky. I was disappointed that the shimmer didn't show up in Light Grape either but it's still a lovely shade. I need to pick some of these ones up because they look gorgeous...especially nude!
