MeeBox August 2016 'Boho' Box Nail Art

Monday, 5 September 2016

Happy Monday all, I don't know about you but I've actually had a lovely day, no seriously! I'm sure it has everything to do with this change in weather (I love a rainy day) and although I may have been a little warm in my snuggly jumper, there was no way I was taking it off. Anyway, as promised yesterday I have some nail art to show you today, using the colours from last months 1st birthday 'boho' MeeBox.

If you don't know what colours I'm referring to, the polishes in this box were; Aggie from Zoya, Prince I've Been Gone from Cuccio and Green Berry by Barry M. I was so inspired by the palette and the Miss Cat Nails foil, that knew immediately the kind of nail art I wanted to create.

For this first look I used Aggie from Zoya as the base and then added some waterfall style stripes at the cuticle end using Prince I've Been Gone and Green Berry. I then added tiny ripped up pieces of the nail foil around the top of the design and finished it off with the arrow midi ring (which was a generous gift from the MeeBox gang).

I actually think this look is very 'boho' and fits the theme of the 1st birthday box perfectly. What do you think?

For this second look I used Prince I've Been Gone for the base, then added large pieces of the foil on my accent nail and dotted some large dots on the other nails using Aggie from Zoya.

Although this isn't very 'boho' and I didn't use Green Berry, I think it's still a beautifully deep and autumnal look. The dark green and gold combination is one I wouldn't normally have worn, but I'm glad I have. Also don't you think Aggie looks amazing over a dark base? Memo to myself - try Aggie over black to see if that duochrome pops any better.

Make sure you sign yourself up for the September box 'Pumpkin Spice' on the MeeBox website (it's bound to be incredible) and check out my review of the August 2016 - 1st Birthday 'Boho' Box for all the details on these products.

Let me know which of the looks was your favourite? What kind of nail art are you loving at the minute?

Vicky xx
