PR SampleSunday, oh how I love you. I love the weekend and my long lie ins, long hot baths and cosy days spent snuggled up on the sofa watching tv. I've also managed to do some swatching in amongst all the r&r, after all I did promise the other day to swatch all the polishes shown in this post (here), no mean feat when you think back to last month (I mean, a sloth could have done more swatching than I did).
So today I have the first of many Barry M nail paint posts I'm sure to show you this month. Back in August I was lucky enough to attend the AW16 product launch (see my post on that day here).
The goodie bag they sent us home with contained a host of stunning products, however it was void of polish. As Barry M's self proclaimed number one nail paint fan, you can imagine how eagerly I have been watching the post every week since for their arrival, and finally that blessed day came last Friday.
As soon as these polishes dropped through my door, I knew I would have to try the limited edition colours first, I was literally drawn in like a magpie to that sparkle!
Superdrug Limited Editions
Nutcracker is the most amazing vibrant magenta metallic polish. This was perfect in 2 coats and I didn't need a topcoat.
Twinkle Twinkle is a gorgeous rose gold metallic. As rose gold has been the blogger's colour of choice for the last couple of years, it's lovely to see it in nail polish form. The formula is lovely and I only needed 2 coats, no topcoat.
Boots Limited Editions
Snowflake is a bright silver metallic. It has a slightly thinner formula than the others and needed 3 thin coats for full coverage, no topcoat.
Enchanted is the most stunning warm hot chocolate with flecks of gold and purple. This colour is so complex and is perfect for this time of year. Again the formula was lovely and I only needed 2 coats.
It's honestly too difficult to pick a favourite so I'm not going to. If you're interested in getting these shades you can pop into the respective stores nationwide or grab them online at Superdrug and Boots, priced at £3.99 each.
Let me know your thoughts on these colours. I'm planning on doing some comparisons posts of these and the older limited editions next month too, but let me know if there's a particular colour you'd like to see a comparison off.
Pop back in a couple of days for a review of Barry M's new Gelly and topcoat.
