Ghost Water Decal Nail Art

Wednesday, 26 October 2016

Happy hump day. Hope you're all having a lovely week, I've been enjoying my time off but so far have spent more time deep cleaning my house than I have on nails. It's definitely time to fix that.

Last week after a very frustrating stamping session (I'm slowly getting there) I decided to order some water decals and I am so glad I did, it's revolutionised my take on nail art!

Can you believe that after all these years I've never tried them, I don't know whats the matter with me. However now I have, I'm in love, and plan on splashing the cash over on Ali Express and Born Pretty to stock up for Christmas.

Today however I have a very spooky cute ghost design for you. I used Eva '200' (picked up on holiday in Russia a couple of years ago) and Color Club 'Gift of Sparkle' as the base colour and then topped with a variety of water decals. I finished with a coat of Barry M Matte basecoat and voila!
All in all these took me about 12 minutes to complete, including drying time, which is a marvel when you consider the hours I've spent hand painting designs in the past.

Yes it's official, I've fallen in head over heals in love with water decals and I can't wait to try some more designs in the future.

What are your thoughts on water decals? Have you any suggestions of other places to shop for them?

Vicky xx

  1. Love your little ghosts! Water decals are awesome for a quick mani. In the UK, she sells seashells, nail artisan and Charlie's nail art are good places to shop that deliver quickly. If you don't mind waiting a bit longer, you can find bundles of water decals (50+ designs) for a couple of quid on eBay but they come from China.

    1. Thank you Jo, it's so nice having extra bits to use for nail art now.
Also thanks for your recommendations, I'll been to those places and bookmarked them. I def need to shop for some supplies for Christmas manis! xx

  2. Uau! Que lindas unhas de Halloween!
