Halloween 2016 Nail Polish Wish List

Wednesday, 19 October 2016

I'm usually not one to go all out for Halloween, however this year I'm embracing it and have even picked up a few new home wear pieces (thanks Home Sense & John Lewis) to decorate my place. Over the weekend I also scavenged some pine cones, conkers, leaves and acorns while I was out on a walk and combined them to add a slightly more authentic feel to the shop bought items.

It's been a while since I've done a wishlist and as Halloween is nearly upon us, I thought I'd take the opportunity to create a themed one. I've been ummming and ahhhing a lot over buying some of these polishes, so don't be surprised if you see some crop up on my blog before the month is out.

China Glaze - Ghouls Night Out Collection (2015)
Tracy over at Olivia Jade Nail has reviewed China Glaze's 2016 Halloween Collection here and in her post she linked back to her swatches of the Ghouls Night Out Collection (here). Ever since then I can't get these colours out of my mind. I know that I am definitely going to purchase this 6 piece, maybe today ... maybe right now (brb).

China Glaze - Ghoulish Glow Top Coat (2011)
I've been seeing a lot of amazing nail art on IG that uses glow in the dark polish and as I've wanted to pick one up, I thought I'd grab CG's version and see what it's like.

OPI - So So Skullicious Set (2012)
I'm a massive fan of brights (and pink - duh) and when I saw this set I knew I needed it. The only thing stopping me buying these is the fact they're mini's. I'm really not a fan of mini bottles of polish, nope! I tend to pass them on to friends and family as I hate them rattling around my helmers. So I may have to search for the bigger size versions should I decide to get these.

Polished For Days - Halloween Trio (2016)
You know there are those people you follow on IG who cost you a fortune because their swatches are stunning, well Kendra from @thepolishedokie is that person for me. Recently she released some stunning pictures of Polished For Days Halloween Trio and since then I've been dreaming of these colours. They're seriously B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!

Glam Polish - Halloween Trio (2016)
Sabrina of @nailartsakura is another swatching goddess on IG and her pictures of Glam Polish's new Halloween Trio made me realise there was a massive hole in my life, shaped life 3 small rectangular bottles of polish. I'm in love with those greens, so dreamy.

So there we are, I hope I've given you all the urge to shop (because I have serious shopping fever right now). If you're feeling generous, feel free to grab some for me, I'm perfectly happy to accept some 'treats' this season (no tricks, thank you please).

What do you think of this list? Let me know your Halloween nail polish wants below.

  2. I love your wishlist! I have those Glams on my Wishlist too but I can't justify the price she charges for them. :( And thank you so much for including me/my blog in your post. I am so honoured.

    1. Thanks lovely & you're so welcome. I couldn't not include you, after all you inspired the purchase of those CG's.
Us U.K. Nail girls end up spending a fortune for indies as they're all imported, so we're used to the high prices! xx

    2. So you grabbed the CGs? Oh I am so excited to see what you do with them.

Importing polishes (especially indies) is sooooo expensive. That is part of the reason I stick to Aussie indies only. Definitely much cheaper. Although that it does really annoy me that Glam is an Australian indie and charges in US which makes each polish over $20. I think some of the ones I wanted worked out as $26-$28 including postage. That is definitely a lot more than I am willing to pay for a polish

    3. Wow that's a crazy amount for a bottle. I'd def not pay that. I have to admit that the price of indies is the reason I don't have or buy many. I know some are gorgeous & are worth the money but some are way over priced. The Australian indies are by far the best. Here in the U.K. It's rare to find the same caliber of indie maker, which is a shame xx
