Leighton Denny Bare It All CC Base Coat Review

PR Sample

Another Monday done and dusted - wahoo. I have only a few more days at work before I have a week off, and I am so excited.

Today I have a review of Leighton Denny's Bare It All CC Base Coat to show you.

On the box it says it:

  • Is perfect for concealing discolouration
  • Fills ridged nails to create a smooth surface for nail polish
  • Contains marula oil which locks in moisture and smooths the nail surface

This product is a 2in1 as far as I'm concerned. If you apply 1 thin coat, it is perfect as a base coat and although it has a beige tinge, it doesn't seem to interfere with any colour placed on top. I found that it did conceal discoloration but didn't really do anything for my ridges (due to a thyroid issue my nails are super ridged).

.The other way I've been using this, is as a nail colour. I simply add another coat and then finish with topcoat and it becomes the most perfect nude. I'm pretty sure this isn't the way this product was intended to be used, but it's too beautiful a colour to not.

I was really pleased with the formula of this. It was smooth, pigmented and buttery to apply. If you're not careful though, the creamy texture can become a little thick, so go easy when loading your brush as it can easily pool around your cucticles.

If you're interested you can pick up this base coat online from the Leighton Denny website and M&S and in store at John Lewis, selected M&S, Fenwicks and some salons & spas nationwide, priced at £12.

What are your thoughts on this product? Let me know your fave base coat below, I'm always on the lookout for new ones to try.

Vicky xx
