MeeBox September 2016 'Pumpkin Spice' Nail Art

Wednesday, 5 October 2016

Happy Wednesday, how's your week going? Today I have the second part of my September 'Pumpkin Spice' MeeBox review (see the first part here). I always like to do some matching nail art to the theme of the box and where I can, use the extras included in the box to help.
However after my disastrous attempt at stamping (I am honestly the worst and tried at least 4 times to get the image to stick to the stamper) I decided that I would maybe come back to that. After all, there's only so much failure a person can take in one sitting.

The first nail art design I created was a simple tiny dotticure. I used Nude.No1 as the base and Clementine and Venus Desire for the dots.

Now once I had completed this design, I sat staring at my nails, still desparing at my earlier stamping failure and thinking that the stamper had also stolen my nail art skills. After all, as lovely as the dotticure was, it wasn't exactly challenging. After another 2 cuppas, some thorough IG searching and another gaze down at my nails I came up with this design.

I think it sums up the 'Pumpkin Spice' (Latte) theme perfectly, what about you? Oh and be kind in your response, I'm seriously questioning my nail art skills at the minute.

The final mani was created as I felt I needed to use Venus Desire and Mandarin as the base colours. The animal print design popped into my head and voila.

So there we are, I think all 3 are very autumnal, however my fave has to be the pumpkin spice latte design. Make sure you check out last months nail art looks if you haven't already (here) and stop by MeeBox and sign yourself up for the next Sugar Skulls box, I know that I am already itching to get my hands on it.

Which is your fave look? What autumnal nail designs are you loving at the minute?

Vicky xx

  1. These are all so gorgeous I love the Dotticure! Don't despair over the stamping I think most people failed to get this stamper and plate to work. Xx

    1. That's good to hear, I was really hoping that it would work. It half did, but I struggled to get it to work consistently xx

  2. Oh my goodness Vicky, those pumpkins are fabulous!! Stamping takes so long to get used to, keep practising and one day you'll just get the "hang" of it and be able to do it xx

    1. Thanks Helen, it's just a skill I wished I'd picked up years ago. I love how smooth and clean the images look. I'll just keep trying xx

  4. I LOVE all three of these nail arts (well, I love all of yours really - your style and vision is very appealing!). Don't let bad stamping days ruin your mojo (although I know that this comment is now "out of date" -- as much as I like Bundle Monster products, their plates are in the "fussy" category for me. I often have to try several different combinations of stampers, scrapers and/or polishes to get them to work. Usually squishy stampers work best for me. But -- you are so good at ALL kinds of nail art -- I wish I had your free hand skills. Those pumpkins are so darling! And you always place everything just perfectly. <3

    1. Ah thanks so much, sometimes I really feel like my nail art is very poor, especially compared to a lot of other artists and my internal 'vision' of what the nail art should look like. I finally managed to get an image off this plate, although I still feel like it's more luck that skill.
And you have such amazing talent, I love your manis xx
