Yesterday a very exciting package from Barry M arrived and inside were 4 delicious looking bottles, well 5 actually (there's a cuticle oil coming out too) but I only have 4 to show you today so forget I mentioned the other one. Psst, check back tomorrow for the cucticle oil review.
The Frosted Cupcake collection is composed of 4 muted pastels that all contain iridescent crystal flakies.
The flakies are stunning and shimmer all kinds of colours, but mainly you see silver, pink and green. I almost expected these to have a buttercream scent when applied, but alas they didn't (probably a good thing considering my goal of avoiding the heavenly beauty that is cake this month). Regardless, the colours are perfect for the winter-spring transition and they all built up to full coverage in 3 coats (I added a coat of Plumpy to smooth out the shine to all my swatches).
Strawberries & Cream
This pale blush rose polish is beautiful and reminds me of the colour strawberry milkshake (the real kind made with actual strawberries).
This is an cocount cream coloured nude that leans ever so slightly pink in certain lights (comes from the flakies I think).
This soft concrete grey shows off the flakies perfectly both in the bottle and on the nail. It does have a blue tinge to it which comes out depending on the light.
This is a delicate baby blue which really shows off the 'green' in the flakies.
I also tried these with a coat of matte topcoat and they're just as pretty, maybe even more so.
Let me know which is you're favourite(s), I think mine may be Blue Velvet (which by the way I have never tried, the cake not the polish. So as soon as February hits I'm applying this polish and going in search of a slice).
If you're interested in these, they will be available in Boots and Superdrug stores from Wednesday 18th January priced at £3.99 each.
Happy Friday by the way, have a lovely evening and enjoy your weekend.
