Happy Saturday, how's your weekend going? I've spent today twinning with my cat, I've eaten, I've napped, I've laid on the sofa doing nothing much and I've napped some more. I'm sure there'll be plenty more eating and napping this evening, but for now I have a review of Barry M's So Cute-icle Cuticle Oil.

So Cute-icle is infused with nourishing Coconut and Marula Oil. The combination of this dream team not only softens and nourishes your cuticles, nail bed and skin, but it also helps promote the growth of stronger, thicker nails. Something that many of us will be glad of at this time of year, seriously this cold is like chilly death to my nails.

There is an ever so slight sweet scent to this oil and it has a runny but non-sticky formula. The brush is the only downside to this product as it's made from stiff plastic, which could potentially ruin a fresh manicure if you don't wait until it'd dry to apply (hey I made a rhythm).

However it does make it easy to apply a small amount of the oil to your cuticles as you can twist it to the side and use the thin edge to dab it on in the exact spot.

I personally think it's high time Barry M released a Cute-icle oil, after all it's an essential nail care item that no woman/man should be without. I already plan on picking up a couple more bottles for my bedside table and handbag. I never like to be without - dry cuticles are not attractive in photos!

Like the new Frosted Cupcake collection, So Cute-icle is available to buy from Boots and Superdrug stores from Wednesday the 18th January priced at £3.99.

OK, so now my hands and nails are suitably nourished, I'm off to resume my eating and napping.

ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz

  1. You sound like you have had the perfect Saturday. I had planned on having a lazy day. Ate really unhealthy then felt guilty so ended up having the most active day that I have had in a long long time lol.

Great post! Personally I'm not a fan of cuticle oils in a polish bottle. I like that cuticle oil pens. They are so handy and you can throw them in your handbag. Which reminds me I need to put a new one in my bag and some hand crème.

    1. It was perfect, I have been so lazy & feel so much better for it. Although I've also had so many of the days you've described, weekends are a killer to my healthy eating plans.

I agree that a pen would be better, however I tend to use the oil mostly at home or at my desk so having it in a bottle isn't too much of an issue for me.

Hope you remember to replenish your bag, I love swapping products around my handbags!

  2. I'm so bad with my nails in general but am thinking of getting some cuticle oil. A simple steps even I can take in nail care. And I'm a sucker for coconut scents, like their lip oil but for nails. Great post and yay for lazy cat Saturday's xx

    1. Any oil will help dry cuticles, including olive/coconut or even Vaseline. This time of year really dries them out, I'm sure they'll be back to normal soon Helen xx

  4. Sounds like a lovely lazy day! Exciting to see a cuticle oil from Barry M, I really struggle with my cuticles all year round despite applying balms/oils/creams etc everyday. Such a pain. Your cuticles are just beautiful everytime x
