Sparklea Harry Potter Collection

PR Sample

On Tuesday the 31st January 'Something Wicked, This Way Comes' and I'm talking wicked as in TOTALLY FREAKING AMAZING. Lea from Sparklea Nail Polish (aka @LeasNails on Instagram) is launching her new indie business with an amazing 6 piece Harry Potter collection.

I am a massive Harry Potter fan and I was therefore equally honoured and thrilled to be asked to swatch this collection for Lea (who is also a huge Potter Fan, hence the inspiration for this range).

Firstly let me say that these polishes are amongst the best I've tried from an indie company, I was so impressed with everything from the formula to the application. They're also 5 free and vegan friendly!

Gryffindor
This bold maroon polish has loads of gold glitter in it and captures the colours of Gryffindor house perfectly (which is my house by the way). I used 2 smooth coats and 1 coat of topcoat for this swatch).

Hufflepuff
This bright sunshine holographic yellow is gorgeous. I was surprised at how much this polish stood out for me, as I'm not normally one to love yellows this much. I needed only 2 thin coats, no topcoat for this swatch.

Slytherin
This jade green with holo is insane, I love it so much. I needed only 2 thin coats, no topcoat for this swatch.

Ravenclaw
Finishing off the last of the 4 Hogwarts houses is this bright cobalt blue with holographic glitter. The formula on this was a little thinner so I added an extra coat, however 2 would have been fine.

Floo Powder
Wow, I don't know where to start with describing this polish as it's magical. It has a lilac base and is filled with holographic, iridescent, black and translucent red and blue glitters. Again it was a 2 coater and I didn't use a topcoat for my swatch.

Mirror of Erised
A silvery base filled with loads of holographic shimmer and black glitters. I used 3 thin coats for the swatch, no topcoat.

From a Harry Potter collection, it would be difficult to pick a favourite, however Floo Powder is a standout. I don't have anything in my collection that even remotely comes close to this polish.

As far as debut collections go, this one is outstanding and I know that we will continue to see amazing things from Sparklea Nail Polish (hopefully even a second Harry Potter collection). If you're interested in grabbing this collection, it launches on Tuesday the 31st of January, so keep an eye on the website for details, I have a feeling these polishes won't be around for long.

Don't forget to follow Sparklea Nail Polish on Instagram @sparkleanailpolish to stay up to date with all launch information.

I now plan to spend my day watching the Harry Potter movies, snuggled up in my Harry Potter hoody and admiring my Harry Potter nails. I hope you have something equally glorious to do.

Vicky xx

    1. Thanks, I love them so much. There is a website called Pottermore and you can sign up to create an account & then you get sorted and pick your wand. You can also find out your patronus. There is so much extra in there for the avid HP fan xx
