Today I have a something very exciting for you to feast your eyes on. Essie have released a second Retro Revival Limited Edition Collection and with only a month left to grab these shades, you best get spending quickly.
As with the last Retro Revival drop, this collection features some hard to find, legendary Essie shades.
These polishes all feature a gold star-emblazoned cap that mimics the original sign at the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas, the inspiration behind this collection and incidentally the city in which Essie was launched back in 1981. Having been to Vegas, I totally get the retro vibe of this colour palette and think the collection oozes the kind of old time glamour found in the vintage casinos of Downtown Vegas.
This deep raspberry toned red crelly builds to full coverage in 3 coats (no topcoat). Don't be fooled after applying the first coat, which comes out pink, with a couple more coats it darkens to the beautiful colour shown in the bottle
A creamy nude with pink/silver shimmer. This is a gorgeous colour, however due to the sheer nature of the polish, it requires 4 coats (no topcoat) for the coverage shown in the photo. However I have to admit to loving how it looked after 2/3 so next time I wear it, I won't apply the fourth coat.
There are those polishes which just sing to your heart and Prima Bella is it for me. This vibrant pink with silver shimmer applies like a dream and needs only 2 coats for full coverage (no topcoat). I could honestly wear this polish all the time, and as such will be picking up a backup before this collection disappears from the shelves.
This greige has the same pink/silver shimmer as Pure Chiffon and it's another amazing colour. Unlike Pure Chiffon, I needed only 2 coats for full coverage (no topcoat) for this swatch.
A pure barbie pink creme, Chastity has an incredible formula and needed only 2 thin coats for full coverage (no topcoat).
Flawless is a delicate cherry blossom pink creme and like Chastity is another 2 coater (no topcoat).
This collection has something for everything and if like me, you're a die hard pink fan, you'll want to snap up at least 3 of these. Saying that Pure Chiffon and Sweet Tart are the most gorgeous of neutral shades and will suit most skin tones.
You have until the 14th March 2017 to buy these shades and I suggest you get any you love, sooner rather than later. These are available to buy from Superdrug (until the 7th of March) and from Boots (until the 14th of March) priced at £7.99 each.
Let me know what you think of these colours? Also what's your all time favourtie Essie shade?
