Madam Glam Mixed Gel Polish Review

PR Sample

Happy hump day, I hope you're all having a great week. I've managed to get a little on top of my swatch pile and today have a post that's been weeks in the making.

The lovely Andreea over at Madam Glam was kind enough to send me some gels to review and I couldn't have been more excited. They arrived back in Feb and since then I've been testing them out and I am so impressed.

Anyone who's anyone knows Madam Glam is the insta Gel queen. I always see her gorgeous polishes pop up on the feeds of the nail artists I follow and have been itching to try out her Cat Eye polishes. Thankfully she was kind enough to send a couple over and added in some stunning gel thermals too. On a side note how awesome is it that the top of the lids have the colour of the polish on them??

As well as the 4 colours, I was given a bottle of base and topcoat (both of which are incredible, apply smoothly and the topcoat is so shiny). I love that these bottles are so big, you always need a jumbo bottle of base coat and top coat.

Look Me In The Eye - $19.95
This blue cat eye polish is a stunner. The formula is super thick and hyper pigmented (which made application very easy, I hate runny gels). I only needed 2 coats and as soon as I used the magnet to create the cat eye effect I was in love. It creates the most amazing finish that needs to be seen to be believed. I couldn't stop staring at my nails, they looked like they had glass marbles on them, the cat eye gives it such a lovely 3D quality.

Conmigo Contigo - $19.95
A deep cherry red (which is actually a tad darker in real life) is another stunning cat eye gel. Again the formula is thick and 2 coats are perfect for full coverage an again I couldn't stop staring at my nails.

The lasting time on these polishes is fab, I wore one for a week and one for 10 days and both were perfectly shinny when I came to remove them. I only experienced a small amount of tip wear on my right hand (which usually gets trashed as it's my dominant hand).

Dive and Dream - $19.95
I've never tried a thermal gel before and loved this colour which surprised me as I don't normally go for greens. The colour changes from pale green when warm to a deep forest green when cold. I needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Award Winner - $19.95
This is a beauty of a polish, again it needs 2 coats (although I first thought it was a little sheer because it changes as soon as I applied it). When warm it looks like a clear sparkle filled polish, but when cold it changes to a lovely deep magenta pink.

Again these thermal gels have a great lasting time, although I didn't wear them longer than a few days, I did try Award Winner on a friend of mine and it lasted for 12 days before I redid them for her.

Overall I am highly impressed with these gels and already have a massive list of more I want to pick up including the matte gel topcoat, some from thesmoothie gel collectionand of course, all the other cat eye gels (they are without a doubt my favourite). If you're not a gel polish fan, they also sell lots of normal polish, as well as a huge variety of nail art accessories, the Madam Glam website is well worth a look.

If you pop over to the Madam Glam website you can get 40% off your first order and although these ship from America, they came really quickly and were packaged so well (in a fab padded box).

Let me know what you think of these gels? Are you team cat eye or team thermal?

Vicky xx

    1. Yes it's amazing, the red was equally great but I think the cat eye was more tricky to photograph. You're welcome! xx

  3. I really enjoyed reading this review of yours. I agree, Madam Glam is definitely the Queen of Gel Polish. The colours look fantastic and I do love that they include the coloured tops on the bottles so you know what colour they are.

    1. It's such a nice addition and makes them a lot easier to find. I wish all companies did this, even with a coloured sticker like the Primark polishes I like or the Models Own Hyper Gels xx

    1. Yes! It would make an amazing mani if you had lots of different thermals! I think mum would like the red cat eye shade, I may take it down to her next time and see what she thinks xx
