PR Sample

Happy Thursday, I hope you're having a great week. Another weekend looms tomorrow and as my bf will be out all evening I'm planning very cosy, pamper night! Leave your recommendations for movies/tv shows to watch while I soak in the bath below.

Today I have a review of Primark's Insta Girl collection, well the 4 polishes that make up part of the collection anyway.

The Insta Girl collection, much like their new Precious Metals Collection, comes in super cute square bottles that hold 10.5ml of polish. Although they claim to be one coaters, I found I needed 2 for all 4 of these colours. However the formula is very pigmented and if your nails are shorter/smaller, you may find 1 is fine. For the photos I finished all swatches with 1 coat of Primark's Quick Dry Topcoat, which I will talk more about in another post.

Insta Glam
This lilac tinged grey is full of a silver micro shimmer. It translates onto the nail as an intense shine and PVC like finish. The formula is amazing.

Nude Selfie
As much as I dislike the name of this polish, I am in love with the colour. It's a gorgeous blush nude creme and it went onto the nail perfectly. I think this may become my go to everyday shade as it's classically beautiful and really suits my skin tone, also knowing how amazing the formula is, you can get away with a fast and clean application every time.

IT Girl
This is typical deep rose blusher shade, but for your nails. It's so pretty and was the only one of the bunch that was nearly a 1 coater. It has the most perfect creme formula and I was incredibly impressed with just how easy this was to use.

Post This
A super rich, chocolate cherry crelly. There is a lot of this colour floating around at the moment and although it's not one I reach for very often (or at all), this is a great polish all the same. Because it's a crelly the first coat applies sheer and the second deepens it up considerably.

What I love about this collection, is the fact that these are all such wearable, classic shades. Primark have fast become masters of social media, especially Instagram (I always catch their new product launches on their IG stories everyday and think their IG feed is dreamy). I've no doubt it was easy enough for them to see the 'neutral with a slight hint of colour' trend crop up and they've done it justice with these polishes.

Considering these cost just £1.50 each and I swear the formula is as amazing as I've said, I'm not surprised people have been struggling to get hold of these. Make sure you pop into your local Primark and grab them if and while you can, you won't regret parting with £6 and while you're in there try and find me a bloody chip mug!

Let me know what your fave shade is below? Have you seen anything else in Primark you're particularly loving at the min?

Until tomorrow - the last day of March!

Vicky xx

  1. Gorgeous swatches as always! My local Primark is rubbish at stocking polish, they had maybe four or five shades last time I was in :( Enjoy your pamper night!

    1. Thank you & that's such a shame. These polishes are incredible and I really want everyone to get them if they want them! Try another Primark if you're near one x

  2. These are all gorgeous. I am loving nude polishes and dusty kind of colours at the moment. No clue why. And matte. I am still all about the matte. I just need to find the perfect matte top coat. All matte top coats are failing me at the moment.

  3. Lovely swatches, I really like IT Girl. I wish my primark had these polishes, they don't ever seem to stock the new polishes. xx

    1. Thanks Hayley, I'm surprised that another Primark doesn't have them. You must try a different one, they have so many pretties at the minute x

  4. It girl is a very unusual colour. Unusual in a nice way. I love it but I can't help feel these colours are too autumn/ winter for me. Gorgeous colours but we want brights and pastels now... even to just encourage the sun coming out if anything xx

    1. The vibe isn't super spring, I agree. However they're just very classic and so pretty. I can't wait to see their more spring/summer colours xx

  5. I love Insta Glam, very pretty. I've said this before - my local primark never has any of these new releases just the same few shades they have stocked for years! I'll keep checking though x

    1. Glad you love them, it's such a shame so many Primark's can't keep their beauty section up to date. Maybe tweet Primark and get them on the case, it's not good enough xx
