PR Sample

Happy Saturday, hope you're enjoying your weekend. Despite the fact that the first sign of Spring has been engulfed in fog and it's now cold, wet and spooky outside, I am still having a nice day.

Primark PS Precious Metals Collection

Today I have something new and very sparkly to show you from Primark - The Precious Metals collection is gorgeous and it's made up of 3 metallic stunners.

Primark PS Precious Metals Collection Polishes in Rock 'N Gold, Starstruck and Groupie

Before I launch into the swatches, I want to point out that these new square bottles are gorgeous and despite looking smaller, hold 10.5 ml of polish, exactly the same as the flatter PS bottles with the black lids. I love both bottle designs but these are a tad more unique. The metallic lids are lovely to hold and the short stem and wide brush (not made of cheap plastic - yay) are brilliant in aiding application.

Although it says this is a one coat lacquer on the bottle, I found I needed 2 coats for all 3 colours, but then again I have large and long nails. The formula is great, easy to work with, reasonable drying time and very pigmented (I'm sure you could stamp with them, I've just not tried it). Lastly, there is no weird smell with these lacquers, just a normal polish smell.

Rock 'N Gold
This is a light gold metallic polish that contains a mix of gold and silver particles that cause it to 'glow' on the nail. It changes from almost white gold to a oatmeal gold in certain lights. My swatches show 2 coats, no topcoat.

Starstruck
This is a copper/rose gold hybrid metallic polish that has a strong pinky/red undertone. Again it contains the mix of particles (copper and silver) which means that the light level determines what colour you see. My swatches show 2 coats, no topcoat.

Groupie
This bronze brown metallic polish is a lovely change to the usual silver you see in these metallic polish line ups. It has a slightly different finish to the other 2 and does leave visible brush marks when dry. However I actually really love it and think it'll be a unique polish in most peoples collections. Again it's a 2 coater for me and again I needed no topcoat.

So what are your thoughts on the Precious Metals Collection? I think the fact that all 3 are so different to the usual metallics we see around is brilliant, they're very unique colours and the combination of the great formula and very reasonable price point mean these are a complete winner for me.

If you're interested in grabbing these polishes, they're available at all Primark stores nationwide priced at £1.50 each, a great price considering you can get all 3 for under a £5 with change! Thank you again Primark!

Let me know what your favourite colour is and if you think you'll be trying these out. I can't wait to get using them in some nail art.

  2. oh my golly gosh I was eyeing up the whole Precious Metals makeup range in Primarni the other day but I've made myself go on a spending ban this month so had to walk away from the prettiness. But I need Starstruck in my life & for that price I wouldn't even feel guilty for getting haha! ;)

    1. Oh you're so brave to go on a spending ban, I can hardly stand to go a week without buying something for myself.
I did also love the eyeshadow sticks and lip pencils, may have to grab a couple.
You def need Starstruck, it would be a big mistake it to get it! x

  3. These don't look like '£1.50' nail polishes. They could easily be passed off for another brand rather than a Primark. Such gorgeous colours though. Would love to see Primark release some more brighter metallics for the summer season but who knows what they have lined up :-) xx

    1. I agree & they feel and apply like a much more expensive polish too. I love them!
I'm sure we have some brightness to come, they released lots of amazing colours last year xx
