26 GNAI - Pastel To Bold Gradient With Something On Top

Saturday, 15 April 2017

Saturday's are the new days of rest when it's a 4 day bank holiday weekend. I have had such a lovely chilled day that I almost forget to get this blog post written.

Today I have another Nail Crumpets 26 GNAI challenge and as it's Easter tomorrow, I have twisted this prompt 'pastel to bold gradient with something on top' to suit a design I've been wanting to do for a while.

I first got the inspiration for this mani from Aysh of Truly Madly Beauty when I saw her cute Easter Bunny Bootys post of 2015 (she recently shared it again on twitter) and then combined it with my over the nail, nail art look of my 26 GNAI - Spring Animals mani.

I used a total of 9 polishes for this look and some white pom poms for the tails. The white base is Annika White Snow and then for the blue bunny gradient I used Annika Pool Party and Violets Are Blue, the orange bunny gradient was Annika Old Flame and Rimmel Oragasn, the pink bunny gradient was Annika Pink Sherbet and Sally Hansen Tipsy Gypsy and finally the yellow bunny gradient was Annika Mellow Yellow and Rimmel Chin Up Buttercup.

I decided to leave the whiskers out as it's pretty obvious they're bunnies and it would have meant drawing more on my skin and I was already struggling to get the ears neat.

Hope you like these bun buns and their fluffy tails. I'm am now off to make some Easter crispy cakes and keep my fingers crossed that the Easter Bunny remembers where I live.

Make sure you check out all the other 'pastel to bold gradient with something on top' manis below.

Happy Easter Eve

  1. These are so cute! Such a fun bright and different Easter nails idea. Lilei said before they remind me of peeps. I don't know exactly what they are but I've seen them all over Instagram around easter. I love the gradient and fuzzy tails xx

  2. Aww thank you for the mention my lovely. Hehe! Love love LOVE these! So adorable! And I actually really like this transcending on to the skin look...is that weird? But I remember using some cuticle tattoos from Charlies Nail Art Store & loving the look they gave, almost like henna! http://trulymadlybeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/notd-cuticle-tattoo-henna-style-nails.html

    Love Aysh xox
