PR Sample

Back in February at the Barry M Spring 17 launch event, we were teased with a sneak peek at some new Molten Metal nail paints, including a gorgeous holographic.

Unfortunately as they were not being released until April, we all had to wait. And wait we did. Now the day has finally come and as they are being released tomorrow, I though it the perfect opportunity to share my swatches with you.

Barry M Molten Metal Collection Spring 2017

If you have not seen the last summers Molten Metal Collection, it contains 4 gorgeous colours. However this new 5 piece contains not only an amazing holographic but a stunning duochrome, a colour combination that is unique in my collection (and duochromes are amongst my favourite finishes).

Gold Rush
This bright yellow gold shifts to a soft pink and has a stunning shimmer. The formula of this polish is on the thin side and so 3 coats are needed, no topcoat. However I don't mind, it applies easily and dries incredibly quickly.

Blue Glacier
This icy blue has an almost iridescent green shimmer to it that gives this polish an amazing mirror like shine. Like Gold Rush, the formula is very sheer and I needed 3 coats (no topcoat), however looking at the pictures, I think a 4th would have finished it properly.

Black Diamond
The black base of this polish is chocka block full of a silver micro shimmer that gives this polish a gunmetal finish. The formula of this polish is very pigmented and it was so smooth to apply. I needed 2 coats, no topcoat.

Holographic Lights
This silver holographic is the polish that has everyone overly excited about the launch tomorrow and I don't blame them. It's rare we find a holographic being released on the high street and this has such a strong finish, I know it'll be an instant sell out. It needed 3 coats, although 2 would have been fine if you have smaller nails, no topcoat.

I also took some photos with the flash, this way you can see just how gorgeous this polish is.

Pink Ice
This rose gold with silver shimmer is an amazing polish and will be another instant hit. As the Rose Gold phase is only going from strength to strength, I can see this polish being just as popular as Holographic Lights. I needed 2 coats, no topcoat.

It's probably no surprise that I love these polishes, maybe a little more than the originals. Gold Rush is my favourite, however I also think Black Diamond is a stunner and can imagine it'll be beautiful as a base for some nail art.

If you're interested in picking these up, you can grab them from Superdrug as of tomorrow (5th April) and from Boots as of the 12th April, priced at £3.99 each and if you're after international shipping, you can shop directly from Barry M's website.

Oh and here's a collage of all the colours together!

Let me know what you think about these polishes and which your favourite is.

    1. I can't really comment on the longevity of a polish because I don't wear test them. I have them on for a max of a day due to the nature of my hobby and he commitments I have to swatch and review other polishes. Sorry I can't help x
