Happy sunny Saturday, I hope you've all had a lovely day. It's actually my boyfriends birthday tomorrow so I've been busy getting things ready for it, however I've had time to swatch some gorgeous Spring polishes.

Red Carpet Manicure Fantasy Runway Collection

Red Carpet Manicure is an at home gel polish system and like many other brands, they release seasonal collections filled with gorgeous colours that are bang on trend.

Like all gel polishes, you will need a lamp and some other basics, and rather handily they have produced the perfect Starter Kit which contains everything to get you going.

Today I have swatches of their Spring 2017 collection called Fantasy Runway. This collection surprised me because it's not the typical pastel fest. It does have a few pastels but it also has the kind of metallics and shimmers you expect in a winter (Christmas) collection.

Rapturous In Red
This deep apple red has a gorgeous red shimmer that gives the polish the kind of depth you'd expect from a magnetic. It screams Christmas to me, but can also be associated with valentines. Once I'd stop reminiscing about festive seasons past, I thought how perfect this polish would be for Beauty and The Beast fans. I needed 2 coats, although 1 would have been fine.

Dress Rehearsal
This teal tinged blue is a lovely shade and is so fresh for this time of year. I needed 2 coats for full coverage.

PR Darling
This shade was the one that made me fall in love with this collection, it's a soft lavender creme that's perfect for the Spring. The formula of this was very sheer and I struggled to get even coats at the start. However once I had cured the first coat, the other 2 went on evenly and even seemed to apply easier.

Silk Slip
This blush baby pink colour was a total surprise to me because it looks nothing like the bottle shade. However that's not a bad thing. I much perfect colours, to those polishes that have a hint a colour. I needed 2 coats for full coverage

First Looks
This vanilla creme is a shade we don't see enough of this time of year. Although I'm not a massive yellow fan, this muted down version is so wearable and the perfect alternative to stark white nails. I needed 3 thin coats for full coverage.

All The Sparkles
Hello bright gold sparkly goodness! This is another shade that reminded me of last season, however as we all know, gold and metallics in general are going no where. I needed only 2 coats for full coverage.

Overall I love this collection of colours and there isn't one I wouldn't wear again. The mix of sparkle and pastel is perfect and rather surprisingly my favourite of this collection is actually Rapturous In Red.

  3. Gorgeous! I love the blue and purple. Red and gold are very wintery in my opinion but both are so classic that they are much loved by many all year through xx
