Models Own's first nail collection of 2017 may have seemed like a long time coming for us die hard polish fans, however it was well worth the wait.
Four long months in and Models Own dropped the news that they had partnered with the one and only Sophy Nails, to produce one hell of a 5 piece.
This bright red crelly is lush and dries to such a glossy finish. I applied 3 coats for this swatch (no topcoat), however if you don't mind a bit of VNL (visible nail line), then you could get away with 2.
A pinky toned lilac with a stunning silver shimmer. I needed 2 coats for this swatch, no topcoat.
A peony pink base filled with a golden shimmer. Again I needed 2 coats for this swatch, no topcoat.
A golden jelly base full to the brim with gold sparkles. I thought this may be a dupe for Models Own Gold Rush, however that polish is much brighter and the gold is more vibrant. As this was a jelly I found layering thin coats provided the best coverage and used 3/4 on my nails.
Spray My Name
It's been a long time since I've seen a glitter topper like this from a high street brand, but it's a welcome return nonetheless. This combo of white and pink matte, mixed size hex glitter is stunning and the glitter is so dense, you actually don't want to apply a whole coat over a base colour, if that makes any sense. Basically I wiped a load of the brush, then a little more and still had my nail covered completely.
It's beautiful and as you can see, it looks good over every other colour in this collection.
OMG, this collection is a total winner in my books. I love every single polish, but if I was pressed for a favourite, it would have to be Spray My Name! I'm a sucked for these types of glitter toppers and am so pleased that a new one has been added to my collection.
If you're interested in buying the Sofly collection, you can shop it here on the Models Own website, with the polishes priced at £4.99 each.

If you loved this, make sure you stay tuned because this coming weekend I will have swatches of Models Own new Celestial collection. Think pastel, think pearl, think unicorn! It really is a magical.
