Sparklea Nail Polish - Carnival Collection

Thursday, 13 July 2017

Happy Thursday and happy weekend eve, I hope you've all had a good week and are excited for the weekend, I can't believe there's only 1 day to go. I think I'm most excited because there is going to be a food festival near me and I'm already looking forward to all the yummies.

Talking of yummies, I have a review of Sparklea's Carnival Collection for you to enjoy today. Back at the end of March, Lea posted a competition to name a few polishes she had posted to her @sparkleanailpolish Instagram page. She wanted a collection themes and names suggestions. I immediately saw them and thought of the Carnival and was the lucky winner.

For my prize, I was sent this collection just before it launched at the end of April, but thanks to my heavy blog load and a rubbish June, I am only just getting around to swatching them. I feel awful because I want everyone to know just how incredible these polishes are and then go and buy them. They're neon, they're metallic and they have the most beautiful formula.

Ghost Train
This neon green with silver metallic shimmer is bright and is good in 2 thick coats.

Hook A Duck
A neon yellow with silver metallic shimmer, this polish reminds me of tennis balls and in return, Wimbledon (which is perfect for this time of year). I needed 3 coats of this.

Corn Dog
A neon orange with silver shimmer, Corn Dog is the colour of Carrots, Cheetos and Donald Trump. Despite this it's gorgeous and again needed on 2 thick coats.

Candy Floss
A neon pink with silver metallic shimmer, this polish really has everything. It needed 2/3 coats depending on application. Now I know you know what I'm going to say next, so I'm not going to!

Ferris Wheel
This neon orchid purple with silver shimmer is beautiful and again needed on 2 coats!

Escapologist
This bright sea blue with metallic shimmer is stunning. It's another 2 coater and I love it.

This collection is one of my favourite neon collections in a long time. The added metallic shimmer really gives it that little something extra and I can tell you how much I long for Lea to create another collection with this finish. My favourites are Candy Floss (there it is!) and Escapologist, but in reality they are all kind my fave.

You can shop the Carnival Collection via the Sparklea Nail Polish Website, with the polishes priced at £6 each.
(at the time of posting Corn Dog and Candy Floss are out of stock)

Let me know your thoughts on these polishes, I think they're perfect for summer and I now need to create some nail art using them.
