PR Sample

Happy Monday, I hope your week has started well. The weather has taken a slightly Autumnal feel and I am loving it! I organised my knitwear, washed all my scarves, snuggled up in a blanket with all lots of candles on and binge watched Salem (which I am loving).

Today I have the first of many catch up posts that I will bring to you over the next couple of weeks. This year Barry M celebrated it's 35th Birthday and treated us to a whole host of new products in celebration. Amongst the newbies were 6 gorgeous classic shades and it was these that I have swatches for you today.

Part of the PR package contained this amazing book 'I've Been Dazzled', which when it arrived got me very excited. I honestly through it was a look back at 35 years of Barry M products. However a quick flick through revealed it was actually a sneaky beauty safe with a space to store your fave 35th Birthday products.

As you can, as well as the polishes, a new Lip Kit in the shade Blowout (£6.99) and a fun new Lip Paint in the shade Unicorn (£4.99) was released.

It's no secret that I am a massive Barry M fan and although I prefer their slightly more exciting nail releases, these 6 new shades are perfect for everyday wear.

A cherry toned red creme that was perfect in 2 smooth coats.

This sweetie pink shade contains a lovely silver shimmer and although the formula was slightly on the thin side, I only needed 3 thin shades.

A soft delicate pinky neutral creme that again has a thin formula. This also needed 3 thin coats.

This white polish contains a gorgeous golden shimmer. I aired on the side of caution with this polish and applied 3 thin coats for full coverage.

A medium taupe creme polish that has a really lovely formula. This polish, unlike many others, applied beautifully and I needed barely 2 coats for full coverage.

Gold Coast
This pinky nude polish has a stunning golden glass fleck shimmer. This polish is a dupe for the 2016 Summer Boot Limited Edition shade in Golden Sands. Like a lot of the others, the formula of this is slightly on the thin side and so requires as many coats as you want until you're happy with the finish.

Both Frost and Gold Coast are equal faves of mine, the shimmer paired with the neutral base is a winning combo. However I am also a fan of Bubblegum (of course).

If you haven't yet got your hands on these, you can pick them up from Superdrug and Boots stores nationwide priced at £2.99 each.

Let me know your thoughts on these 35th Birthday products, did you get any for yourself?

Vicky xx

  1. Gorgeous classic shades. And so cheap too! Cashmere and frost are my favourites xxx

    1. They are amazing and I agree, very affordable. Time to get your faves, Cashmere is lovely xx

  2. That red is lovely!!! You're right though, not a really exciting collection of shades, but one that fits when covering the last 35 years! I'm a little jealous of it being time to get out the knitwear there -- enjoy!! ;)

    1. Thanks, it's actually getting a little cold now we're approaching Sept so it's so lovely! xx

  3. I love the look of bespoke and gold coast. I don't think I have seen these in my boots or superdrug yet! xx
